Oscar was born in Dublin, Ireland to parents who were known for their extravagant lifestyles. His father was eventually knighted for services to medicine, however his family still lived in shadows of rumors. Oscar studied the greatest Greek philosophers at Trinity College before attending Oxford. Oxford is where he developed his talent and love of literature. He quickly became bored with his studies and moved to London where he became a well-known playwright. Although Wilde was famous for his plays, he was still submitted to a trial for his homosexual acts. This greatly influenced his writing style and today he is known as one of the most famous people in the world.
